Salsa: Back to Basics
Salsa: Back to Basics is a course for any dancer looking to improve their salsa fundamentals. It is broken down into five main sections: history of salsa dance, posture, timing, basic step, and side basic.
History of Salsa Dance: Where does salsa come from? What other styles of salsa are there? What do you wear when you go out to salsa dance?
Posture: A breakdown of body mechanics and the most efficient way to hold your body in confidence!
Timing: Salsa dance timing, understanding what to listen to in music, the “heartbeat" of the dance
Basic Step: The basic salsa step used when dancing
Side Basic: Adding variation to everything you've learned and putting it to music!
By the end of this course you will have a deeper understanding of salsa basics and be ready to hit the dance floor!
